TOEFL
The minimum score is 90 for the Internet-based test (iBT). Tests taken before June 1, 2015 will not be accepted by the University.
GRE
The GRE General test is required. There is no minimum score, and the requirement cannot be waived. The Chemistry Subject GRE is optional, but highly recommended. (Please be advised that the Subject test is only offered a few times per year. Exams taken after November may not arrive in time to be considered.) The institution code is 4833, and no department code is necessary. For information about taking the GRE, call 1-800-GRE-CALL or visit the ETS website at http://www.gre.org (link is external). Current test scores are preferred, however, we will accept official scores from tests taken within the last five years.

GPA
A satisfactory scholastic average, usually a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale
Fee
You must submit an application fee when you apply. The application fee is not re-fundable. If you are a U.S. citizen or current permanent resident, the application fee is $105; for all others, the fee is $125.
RL
Three (3) letters of recommendation are required. These should be from faculty you have worked with closely or supervisors from industry-related work experience. Your recommenders will be contacted via email to submit their letters on-line. (See online application for details.)
Transcript
Upload unofficial transcripts with the application for the departmental initial review. Official transcripts or academic records for all university-level studies you have completed, at U.S. institutions and abroad will be required if admitted. If your academic records do not include official evidence of the award of your degree, you must also submit additional documents that verify the degree conferral. For information about the documents required for an initial review of your application, contact the department or program to which you are applying.
