TOEFL
TOEFL – A minimum score of 80 iBT (550 pBT) or better for applicants whose first language is not English (Minimum TOEFL requirement subject to change).
IELTS
IELTS – A minimum band score of 6.5 or better for applicants whose first language is not English (Minimum IELTS requirement subject to change).
GRE
Graduate Record Exam GRE: This exam is required for Ph.D. applicants and is optional for M.S. applicants.

Statement of Purpose: A brief statement outlining your academic goals, research & career interests and any additional information that might help in the evaluation of your application.
GPA
At least a 3.0 or higher undergraduate weighted mean GPA on a 4.0 scale. If the undergraduate GPA is below 3.0, a GPA will be calculated for the last two years attended if schooling was done at a foreign institution, and based upon the last 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) if the student attended a U.S. institution.
Fee
The non-refundable graduate application fee for international applicants is $65. Applications submitted after the application deadline will incur an additional $30 late fee, even if an academic department has a later deadline. Applications are not complete until the application fee has been paid. Please do not send cash.
RL
Three Letters of Recommendation: Request letters from 3 people who can evaluate the applicant's academic ablility and promise as a graduate student. Endorsers should be either from the applicants academic program or a former employer in the mining industry.
Transcript
Official Transcript: Request one official transcript from each college and/or University attended, regardless of length of attendance. This may be uploaded to the online system. Original transcripts will be required by mail or in-person at the time of admission if admitted.
