TOEFL
If English is not your first language, you are required to show that your command of the English language is sufficient to meet the demands of the degree programme. UCL demands that applicants should be able to demonstrate an ‘Advanced’ level of English. Please note that the test result must have been awarded no more than two years prior to the proposed date of enrolment and the required scores must be achieved within a single test session. TOEFL: Overall score of 109 with 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening (Institution code is 9163)we do not accept work experience as evidence of English language proficiency for the LLM.

The application form allows you to write 3000 characters in the text box. However, the majority of applicants prefer to upload their personal statement as a separate additional document. If you choose to do so, please ensure it is no longer than two sides of A4 in size 12 font.
Fee
A processing fee is applicable for LLM programme applications made online. For the 2018-19 programme, the fee is £75 for online applications and £100 for paper applications.
RL
Your application must be supported by two references from people who are able to comment upon your suitability for the proposed programme of study. If possible, at least one of the references should be from a recent teacher or tutor who is acquainted with your academic ability and research and writing skills.
Referees will need to complete the reference via the secure link that will be emailed to them once an application has been submitted. Before you submit your application, you should contact your referees to advise them that they will be sent a request by UCL in relation to your application and ensure that you have a valid email address for each of your referees.
If you are applying online, your references MUST be submitted via the online reference request system. If your referees wish to submit their references by post, you MUST submit a complete paper application. Information on how to submit a paper application can be found on the UCL applications page.
References must be received by the application deadline in order for the application to be considered.
Transcript
Transcripts of qualifications are required. Your academic transcript can be either a scanned version of a paper one that you upload with your application or one downloaded from your institution’s secure website. If transcripts are not written in English, they must be accompanied by a certified English translation.
