Applicants must submit a personal statement of interest and purpose which should address future goals and proposed use of the degree, as well as other factors the Admissions Committee should take into consideration when evaluating application. Submissions should be 1-2 pages, double spaced.
GPA
The minimum undergraduate GPA for admission consideration for graduate study at the University of Denver is a cumulative 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for the last 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits (approximately two years of work) for the baccalaureate degree. An earned master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution supersedes the minimum standards for the baccalaureate. For applicants with graduate coursework but who have not earned a master’s degree or higher, the GPA from the graduate work may be used to meet the requirement. The minimum GPA is a cumulative 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for all graduate coursework undertaken.

Fee
A $65 non-refundable application fee is required. Individuals applying through LSAC may incur additional charges for LSAC registration.
RL
Applicants must provide the name and contact for two (one, if applying for the Taxation LLM) individuals who can recommend the applicant for admission. Good choices for recommenders include former or current professors, supervisors, or community leaders who are familiar with the applicant and can comment on the applicant’s ability to succeed in a rigorous graduate program. The applicant should specify to recommenders that the Admission Committee gives a significant weight to the letters.
Transcript
Applicants must submit official transcripts form all post-secondary institutions attended, regardless of whether a degree was earned. International transcripts not issued in English must be accompanied by a certified English translation. Transcripts are considered official if they are sent directly from the institution to our office, or if they are sent by the applicant or a third party and they remain in an original sealed envelope from the institution.
