TOEFL
ANY student indicating ANY language other than English as their first/native language will be required to submit a TOEFL score. This score must be submitted directly from ETS electronically. Copies of your results are not acceptable. The test must be no more than two years old at the time of application. There are NO automatic TOEFL waivers, however, MM applicants who have a masters or bachelor's degree from an English-speaking institution may request a waiver in writing at the time of application. Requirements for Master's Degrees (MM and MA): 85 for admission, 90 to be eligible for appointment as a Teaching Assistant.

Overall score of 6.5, with no subsection recommended to be below 6
GRE
GRE scores - have ETS send scores to Stony Brook University. GRE scores can only be accepted if sent electronically; scores that are mailed in are not acceptable.
