Transcript
Some universities are able to email certified transcripts directly to the Graduate Advisor and/or the Coordinator. Letters of reference may also be emailed. However, it is very important to note that the applicant should not email this material himself/herself to the Graduate Advisor or the Coordinator. It should come directly from the source (the institution issuing the transcripts and/or the recommender). Any transcript that is not certified by the issuing institution will be discarded and any letter of reference whose confidentiality has been compromised will carry less weight in the evaluation process.
Even if the GPA of those classes has been incorporated in the applicant’s undergraduate degree, she/he needs to make sure the Department receives all transcripts. Remember that the Graduate School will only accept certified transcripts issued by institutions in sealed envelopes.
