The LGO program, which provides graduates an MBA or MS in Management in combination with a Master of Science degree, takes full advantage of its place within the world's top-rated School of Engineering, and our students reap the benefits. Each student is admitted to one of six participating engineering departments, which represent a huge diversity of faculty expertise, areas of research, and alumni career paths as industry leaders. The connection that LGO students have with their engineering department communities is a vital part of their experience while at MIT and as graduates.
Students select an engineering department based on their undergraduate degree, and, importantly, on their subsequent work experience and the relevance of the department's curricular options to their future career plans. Within most departments, students identify an LGO-specific track as their course of study. The tracks allow students to focus on specific areas of interest within their department as they fulfill the requirements for their Master of Science degree.
