The Department of Nuclear Engineering at Texas A&M University is one of largest, best, and fastest-growing nuclear engineering programs in the U.S. We offer graduate degrees in nuclear engineering and in health physics.
Although our department is the largest in the nation, we are the smallest compared to our fellow Texas A&M engineering departments. This is a unique dynamic providing access and benefits that large programs can provide while maintaining the feel of a small engineering program. Also, our program is ranked third in graduate studies among public universities (US NWR).
Our department strives to develop and maintain a nationally and internationally recognized program that promotes a passion for understanding and applying the knowledge of nuclear science and engineering to support the nation’s energy, national security, and healthcare missions.
