The Mathematics Masters of Science degree program requires thirty-three semester hours of approved graduate courses that takes an average of two years to complete.
The four required courses, MTH 5310, 5323, 5350, and 5330, provide a solid base for further Ph.D. study, and also leave ample opportunity to take additional courses in pure or applied mathematics. Teaching opportunities are often available during the second year of study.
Also, competitive stipends and full tuition remission are available to qualified applicants. Graduate students in mathematics enjoy the use of personal computers, private offices and a well-equipped student lounge in the newly remodeled Sid Richardson building.
